California Employee Shoots Eight Coworkers Dead; Bomb Squad Sweeping Area

Authorities report that eight employees are dead and several others injured in a mass shooting that broke out during an early morning employee meeting today at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in San Jose.


The shooting occurred in a part of the yard where workers do maintenance on vehicles between 6:30 and 6:45 am PST this morning, May 26, 2021. The suspected gunman, an employee at the facility, is also dead according to officials.


Explosives were found on scene and the bomb squad was called in to clear the area.
